Unit 2 Week 3

Dear Family Member:

This week our class will be focusing on where animals live together. There are many different kinds of environments for animals.

Here are some activities that you can do with your child to help reinforce the skills we’ll be practicing.

Word Workout

• Words to Know Help your child use the words to tell a story about what animals live in a park.
• Spelling/Phonics: consonant blends Help your child find their spelling words in a Word Box puzzle. This week’s phonic sounds are the ending consonant blends nd, nk, nt, st, sk, and mp, as in the words lend, sink, went, last, and desk.

Comprehension: main topic and key details

Help your child read a story and think of a title for it. Then ask your child to tell you two details they learned from the story.
